Mushroom Hikes

So what do you do on a Saturday morning in July 2015? Get up early and go hiking with a friend looking for mushrooms in the rain and mud and wilds of Northern Virginia. Oakton to be specific. Just north of Vale Road, near the Gabrielson Gardens. Actually had a great time. And my friend Mark, a self-proclaimed mushroom expert, and I found a stash of really cool "shrooms".....


My friend Mark and I go looking for mushrooms and bugs on a humid morning in July 2015 along the Difficult Run stream in Fairfax County VA. And we find some strange orange fungi, an assassin bug, and much more in this installment of the Camo Pants Hiker.....
